How do I redeem myself after bad interview?

Recently, my aunt suggested I volunteer at the hospital she works at to meet people, and prove myself. This requires a process, in which do an interview with the people in charge of volunteer services. As it turned out, she's a medical social worker and started asking probing questions. Her questions made me cry, as they went 'there' in terms of how I took time off during college due to depression and other things.. She's gave me another interview next month. How can I redeem myself?
